Zango: compliance workflows for financial services

Zango maps regulatory change to obligations, policies, approvals and evidence for financial institutions.

Zango is the compliance layer for financial services. It fits banks, fintechs and regulated teams that need regulatory change turned into obligations, policies, approvals and evidence—not just summarized into another inbox.

What it does

The product pages describe two main workflows. Zango’s homepage says horizon scanning monitors regulatory sources, filters for relevance and maps changes to policies, controls, owners and products. Policy governance keeps the library versioned, routes reviews and approvals, and maintains an audit trail. Zango also shows a marketing-compliance surface for checking campaigns against a living knowledge base before and after launch. The common thread is traceability: what changed, why it matters, who approved it and what evidence remains.

Why I’d look closer

The public site names customers and testimonials from financial institutions, including Juni and NovoBanco, and presents claims such as 7× ROI, 70–80% time saved on gap analysis and faster campaign approvals. Those are vendor-selected claims on the company homepage. They are useful clues about the intended buyer and use cases, not independent reviews. The company’s LinkedIn page independently confirms the financial-services compliance positioning and public education around AI agents.

The founder history is relevant. Zango’s about page describes Ritesh Singhania as a former co-founder of ClearGlass and former Head of Product at Cinnober, later acquired by Nasdaq. It describes Shashank Agarwal as the founder of Thirdwatch, acquired by Razorpay, and a former product and engineering leader at PhonePe. That background helps explain the focus on regulated workflows rather than a generic document chatbot.

What I’d ask

Pricing is not public. The terms say the service is not designed to comply with industry-specific regimes such as HIPAA or FISMA unless explicitly agreed in writing. A buyer needs to map Zango’s source coverage, jurisdiction support, model controls, DPA, evidence export and the boundary between AI suggestions and accountable compliance work.

My editorial take

Zango is a strong fit when regulatory change is already a workflow problem with owners, approvals and audit trails. It is less useful if the team only wants summaries. The differentiated bet is not “AI reads regulations.” It is “AI keeps the institution’s decisions connected to the rules that caused them.”
