# How does Revolut explain notifications before showing the system permission prompt?

Revolut’s captured notification primer explains payment alerts and keeping the balance up to date before the operating system asks for authorization. The product screen offers distinct **Enable push notifications** and **Not now** actions; the following iOS dialog presents **Allow**, **Allow in Scheduled Summary**, and **Don’t Allow** choices. ## Product explanation, then permission

The first captured screen connects notifications to a concrete banking use case: seeing card-payment activity and balance updates. Its prominent enable action appears above the quieter **Not now** action. The next screen shows the iOS authorization dialog over the primer, separating our product explanation from the operating system’s permission decision. ## Read repeated frames carefully

The underlying archive contains four screens, including another primer frame and a loading-state frame. These are captured UI states; they are not four different onboarding questions or proof of repeated permission requests. The sequence does not establish which system option the person selected or whether future notifications arrived. [Source capture](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/revolut/enable-push-notifications)

## What to carry into another product

Explain the specific information people will receive before requesting authorization. Distinguish postponing the product prompt from granting system permission, then assess whether the explanation supports an informed choice. This archive is a design reference, not a measured opt-in-uplift result.

## Methodology

We visually inspected one four-frame public archive. We illustrate the benefit explanation and system dialog; the repeated and loading frames are not counted as distinct product decisions. The source page’s update date is February 2026 and is page metadata rather than a separately established capture-session date.
