# What comes between sign-in and the trial reminder in Cal AI’s paywall flow?

The three public screens in our August 2026 Cal AI onboarding-paywall capture show a save-progress sign-in choice, a trial introduction, and then a reminder promise conditional on notifications being enabled. They do not show a purchase-confirmation sheet, a renewal price, or the complete onboarding sequence. [[1]](https://www.lazyweb.com/research/cal-ai-sign-in-trial-reminder-sequence#cite-1)

## The captured order

| Position | What is visible | What it establishes |
|---:|---|---|
| 1 | “Save your progress,” with Apple, Google, and email options | Account choices are presented before the trial introduction in this captured segment. |
| 2 | Trial invitation, a product-scanning visual, and a **Try Now** action | The screen introduces the trial and says no payment is due now. |
| 3 | Reminder promise before the trial ends, conditional on notifications | The next screen addresses trial-end reassurance and offers a continuation action. |

All three observations come from the ordered public capture. [[1]](https://www.lazyweb.com/research/cal-ai-sign-in-trial-reminder-sequence#cite-1)

## What this does not establish

The segment does not show a selected subscription duration, total renewal amount, completed purchase, or delivered reminder. It cannot establish the full onboarding length, whether sign-in can be skipped, or what every account sees. The separate onboarding and notifications captures provide additional context, but combining their step counts does not by itself reconstruct one continuous journey. [[1]](https://www.lazyweb.com/research/cal-ai-sign-in-trial-reminder-sequence#cite-1) [[2]](https://www.lazyweb.com/research/cal-ai-sign-in-trial-reminder-sequence#cite-2) [[3]](https://www.lazyweb.com/research/cal-ai-sign-in-trial-reminder-sequence#cite-3)

The full public app-tree capture exposes the plan selector and App Store sheet that follow this segment. [[4]](https://www.lazyweb.com/research/cal-ai-sign-in-trial-reminder-sequence#cite-4)

## A useful design hypothesis

Separate account persistence, the invitation to try, and trial-end reassurance when each answers a different user question. Keep a reminder promise tied to the conditions under which it can actually be delivered. Test comprehension and completion in your own product; the existence of this sequence is not proof that it converts better.

**Methodology.** Visual inspection of the three public screens in one Cal AI flow segment. We describe captured order and copy, not a full first-run journey or an A/B-test winner.
