Its Air Quality Index layer provides real-time air-quality information and combines radar and satellite imagery in one overlay. Radar and satellite coverage is intended to help users monitor rain, snow, and storms. Listed data sources include NOAA, the Met Office, AROME, DWD, JMA, and ACCESS. ### Weather maps and tools Windy lists more than 50 weather maps and tools, including: - Wind forecasts: current speed, gusts, accumulation, model comparison, and weather-station data. - Temperature, humidity, pressure, dew point, and freezing altitude. - Rain, thunder, storms, precipitation type, and CAPE index. - Weather radar and satellite imagery in blue, infrared, and visible modes. - Clouds, cloud tops, cloud base, visibility categories (LIFR, IFR, MVFR, and VFR), and fog. - Waves, swell, and currents. - Solar-activity maps covering solar power, UV index, and wet-bulb temperature. - Snow depth, new snow, and snow density. - NO2, PM 2.5, aerosol, SO2, ozone layer, surface ozone, CO concentration, and dust mass. - Weather warnings and extreme forecasts. - Soil moisture, moisture anomaly, drought intensity, fire danger, and fuel moisture. ### Weather models Listed global models are ECMWF, GFS by NOAA, and ICON by DWD. Windy's hurricane-tracking tool shows a hurricane's past and projected path and provides available forecasts from multiple storm or hurricane models. ### Widgets Windy offers weather widgets for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Widgets can provide a 3–5 day forecast, live weather radar, live satellite imagery, or a lock-screen overview.
