## Ourcal product description

OurCal is a shared calendar with a messenger built in. It is designed around the idea that shared-calendar problems are communication problems. Groups of 2 to 100 people can share calendars and communicate in one place. Intended groups include couples, families, friends, clubs, students, sports teams, healthcare teams, work teams, shift workers, travelers, childcare groups, and event planners. The product description says it is used by more than 100K groups worldwide.

### Every event is a chat

Each event has a dedicated chat separate from the group chat. Members can discuss plans, share photos, attach files, make decisions, react, reply, and quote while keeping the conversation with the relevant event.

### Group chat for the big picture

The group chat is for announcements, quick questions, and coordination that does not belong to one event. Event updates and group messages flow into an Activity feed.

### Automatic change tracking

Changes generate an automatic before-and-after update in the event chat and Activity feed, so members can see when an event has moved and what changed.

### Color-coded calendar views
