Features described for Merlin include: - Expert identification tips, range maps, photos, and sounds to help users learn about birds and build birding skills. - A personalized Bird of the Day that introduces a new species each day. - Customized lists of birds users can find where they live or travel, anywhere in the world. - Personal sighting tracking and a personal list of birds found. - Sound ID and Photo ID powered by Visipedia machine learning. - Recognition trained on millions of photos and sounds collected by birders at eBird.org and archived in the Macaulay Library at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. - Bird photos, songs, calls, and identification help for regions including Mexico, Costa Rica, South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India, Australia, Korea, Japan, China, and more. Experienced birders curate and annotate sightings, photos, and sounds used with Merlin. The Cornell Lab of Ornithology's stated mission is to interpret and conserve Earth's biological diversity through research, education, and citizen science focused on birds and nature. Merlin is offered for free through support from Cornell Lab members, supporters, and citizen-science contributors. ## Merlin Bird user flows - [View](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/view) - [Identify Sound](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/identify-sound) - [Identify](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/identify) - [Identify Photo](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/identify-photo) - [Explore Birds](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/explore-birds) - [View Life](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/view-life) - [App Settings](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/app-settings) - [Use Current](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/use-current) - [Select Map](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/select-map) - [Search Birds](https://www.lazyweb.com/flow/merlin-bird/search-birds) ## Other Education companies - [12min](https://www.lazyweb.com/company/12min) - [1huddle](https://www.lazyweb.com/company/1huddle) - [2u](https://www.lazyweb.com/company/2u) - [80 000 Hours](https://www.lazyweb.com/company/80-000-hours) - [Abcmouse Com](https://www.lazyweb.com/company/abcmouse-com) - [Academia Edu](https://www.lazyweb.com/company/academia-edu) - [Academic Earth](https://www.lazyweb.com/company/academic-earth) - [Acadex](https://www.lazyweb.com/company/acadex) [Browse all Education companies](https://www.lazyweb.com/company/category/education) [Sign up for Lazyweb free](https://www.lazyweb.com/product) to search every screen, flow, and UX pattern in one place. --- [Read this page’s summary](https://www.lazyweb.com/api/public/v1/page-tldr?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lazyweb.com%2Fcompany%2Fmerlin-bird&trace=t_bc7e1c4e5b07) ## Ask a follow-up about this page Need a more specific answer?
