## What Equilab does

Equilab lets equestrians use a smartphone or Apple Watch to track riding sessions, including distance, speed, gaits, turns, time, and other training data. Riders can review the data over time to follow their own and their horse’s progress. Its gait-analysis technology is intended to provide additional training insights.

For safety, riders can add Safety Contacts so family and friends can follow their live location while they ride. Safety Contacts receive an alert if the rider stops moving for **5+ minutes**. The Premium subscription supports safety tracking, and Premium also allows ride tracking with a standalone Apple Watch.

Equilab also supports:

1. Tracking every ride with a phone or compatible Apple Watch.
2. Safety tracking for family and friends while riding; this is identified as a Premium feature.
3. Challenges and achievements to encourage riding and shared progress.
4. Sharing equestrian progress with friends.
5. Chatting with riders in the local or wider equestrian community.
6. Shared calendars and groups for coordinating routines, trainers, vets, and co-riders.
7. Apple HealthKit integration to help users understand how training affects fitness.

Riders can discover trails and connect with friends, trainers, vets, farriers, and other participants to share rides, schedules, and other information. The app description says Equilab is used by riders ranging from Olympic riders to weekend hobby riders, across **over 50 countries and 6 continents**.

The app description also describes Equilab as having **over 1 million users** and as the world’s largest equestrian community.

## Equilab Premium subscription

Premium is a recurring subscription that provides full access to safety tracking, advanced training details, weather history for rides, a customized equestrian calendar, and other features. U.S. prices are:

| Billing interval | Price |
|---|---:|
| 1 month | $12.99 |
| 6 months | $59.99 |
| 1 year | $99.99 |

A **one-week free trial** is available to all first-time users. When a subscription is confirmed, payment is charged automatically through the user’s Apple account.

The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least **24 hours before the end of the current billing period**. The Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. Users can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal from the Apple account’s **Manage Subscription** page in iPhone or iPad Settings.

Any unused portion of a free-trial period, if offered, is forfeited when a subscription is purchased. Subscriptions renew at the same cost, and Equilab says it will notify subscribers before pricing changes. After cancellation, Premium features remain available until the end of the final billing period.
