Its interface is designed to work like a professional digital film camera, with one-tap access to frame rate, shutter angle, white balance, and ISO. It can record directly to Blackmagic Cloud in 10-bit Apple ProRes files up to 4K. Blackmagic Cloud Storage supports collaboration on DaVinci Resolve projects, allowing editors to work with the footage remotely. The app is described for feature films, television, documentaries, YouTube, TikTok, broadcast-quality ENG, run-and-gun shooting, and use as a B camera. Recording to Blackmagic Cloud can send footage to a newsroom or post-production studio in minutes. ### Interactive controls for fast setup - Tap controls to change settings without navigating complex menus. - The HUD shows status and recording parameters, histogram, focus-peaking indicators, levels, frame guides, and more. - Swipe up or down to show or hide the HUD. - Tap an area of the screen to autofocus. - Shoot in 16:9 or vertical aspect ratios. - Shoot 16:9 while holding the phone vertically for unobtrusive recording. ### On-screen heads-up display The HUD provides controls for: - Lens selection - Frame rate - Shutter angle - Timecode - ISO - White balance - Gain - Audio levels Touch the ISO indicator to adjust exposure or touch the audio meters to change audio levels. Controls are interactive, so settings can be changed without searching through complex menus. ### Camera setup menus The Settings tab provides access to monitoring, audio, camera setup, recording, and other advanced settings. The Record tab controls video resolution and recording format, including: - Industry-standard Apple ProRes - Space-efficient H.264 - Space-efficient H.265 Additional camera controls include anamorphic de-squeeze and lens correction. Audio options include AAC and PCM formats, VU or PPM audio metering, and support for external microphones. You can also add 3D LUTs to recreate film looks. ### Media The Media tab supports browsing and scrubbing clips for review, searching and sorting, and viewing upload status. The All Clips folder displays stored clip thumbnails. You can: - Save media to the phone’s Files folder. - Send media to Blackmagic Cloud Storage through Blackmagic Cloud. - Manually choose clips to upload to a project library. - Sync media directly into a DaVinci Resolve project for editing. ### Live sync to Blackmagic Cloud Storage While shooting, captured video can be uploaded first as a proxy file and then as camera originals to Blackmagic Cloud Storage.
