Touch ID and Face ID login are available on supported devices. ### Secure account management - Confirm new Cards and set up an account through the enhanced activation experience. - Activate a Credit Card for Apple Pay in the app, then unlock, tap, and pay. - Freeze and unfreeze a Credit Card instantly. ### Spending and payments - Check account balances and pending transactions. - Sort charges by amount and date. - Access past PDF statements and go paperless. - Enable AutoPay to pay the Amex bill automatically from a bank account each month. - Enter an expected purchase amount to check spending power. Approval is based on account status at the time of the request. - Filter transactions and view spending subtotals for each card on the account. This filtering feature is for Basic Card Members only. ### Real-time protection and notifications - Enable purchase alerts when a Credit Card is charged. - Receive instant fraud alerts when suspicious activity is detected. - Receive payment-due reminders. - Manage notifications in the Amex Account tab. ### Rewards and benefits - View the Rewards balance and ways to use Membership Rewards® points, including gift cards and statement credits. - Use points to cover eligible charges through a credit on the account. - See personalized recommendations for other ways to use points. - Refer friends and earn rewards when friends or family obtain an American Express Card through the referral program. Referral rewards are for eligible Card Members only. ### Amex Offers and membership - Discover offers from places to shop, dine, travel, and more. - Explore nearby offers on a map. - Receive Amex Offers notifications on the device. - The membership screen’s benefits apply only to applicable products. ### Service and Send & Split® - Chat with American Express 24/7 and revisit conversations in the app. - Use Send & Split® to send money and split purchases with other Venmo and PayPal users in the American Express app. - Send money to friends with more flexibility and without the standard Venmo or PayPal credit-card fee, subject to enrollment requirements and terms. - Split Amex purchases with others and receive repayment directly to the Card as a statement credit. - The Card Member earns the rewards for a purchase that is split. - PayPal may charge a fee when sending to non-US recipients. The American Express App and its features are available only for eligible Card accounts in the United States.
