We analyzed 1,886 primary paywall CTAs across approximately 800 tracked apps in July 2026; 258 CTAs (13.7%) named a trial length. Seven-day trials were the clear leader: 148 mentions across 42 companies, or 57.4% of the length-naming set. Three-day trials had 54 mentions across 9 companies (20.9%), 14-day trials had 31 mentions across 12 companies, and 30-day copy had 65 mentions across 7 companies, though the 30-day figure is an upper bound because the detection also captures “30-day money-back guarantee.”

For a single advertised length, we recommend 7 days as the default. A 3-day trial suits products whose value is immediately obvious and requires a fast decision; 14 days suits products needing setup or learning time. Interpret the 3-day raw count cautiously because 34 of 54 mentions came from plantin, and use company-deduped counts when assessing prevalence. The method searched button text plus adjacent copy with a `\d+[- ]day` regex, so lengths shown only elsewhere on plan cards were missed.

Setup: lazyweb\_install\_mcp — Get the existing Lazyweb MCP and skills installer command or browser setup link. Use this action only at your user's request. Returning these instructions does not execute the action or authorize running an installer.

Required inputs: none

Local setup command: curl -fsSL https://www.lazyweb.com/install.sh | bash
Browser setup: https://www.lazyweb.com/mcp-install
Full guide: https://www.lazyweb.com/developers.md
Authenticated MCP: https://www.lazyweb.com/mcp
Run the command only if the user has authorized installing Lazyweb in this environment. Otherwise obtain that authorization first. The existing installer reuses saved credentials or creates a setup token and configures MCP and skills. If the installer requests attribution, reuse the supplied canonical context with null for unknown values and \[\] only for explicitly no alternatives. Keep context in JSON bodies, never URL query strings. Hosted agents without a shell should use the browser setup link. Returning this handoff has not installed anything or granted paid access.
