Lazyweb Research analyzed 4,814 detected before/after UI experiments across 362 companies and found 120 experiments across 62 companies that mention social proof, including testimonials, star ratings, review counts, user counts, or “trusted by” statements. Social proof is directly annotated as a change area in 48 experiments, and 18 of the 405 hero-area experiments also mention it. The direction split is 37 added, 3 removed, 6 mixed, and 74 unclassifiable; among classifiable changes, additions outnumber removals about 12:1. In 29 add-screen cases, none later removed the social proof. The counts come from keyword tagging and annotated areas, so they include experiments that mention the tactic rather than only pure social-proof tests, and the learnings are inferred rationales rather than measured A/B outcomes. The page includes real in-market example screens from Chaton, Brainly, Hoopla, and Lose It, plus a voice-notes example that expanded testimonial cards and used a “500,000+” user claim.

Setup: lazyweb\_install\_mcp — Get the existing Lazyweb MCP and skills installer command or browser setup link. Use this action only at your user's request. Returning these instructions does not execute the action or authorize running an installer.
GET https://www.lazyweb.com/api/public/v1/convert
Required inputs: none

Local setup command: curl -fsSL https://www.lazyweb.com/install.sh | bash
Browser setup: https://www.lazyweb.com/mcp-install
Full guide: https://www.lazyweb.com/developers.md
Authenticated MCP: https://www.lazyweb.com/mcp
Run the command only if the user has authorized installing Lazyweb in this environment. Otherwise obtain that authorization first. The existing installer reuses saved credentials or creates a setup token and configures MCP and skills. If the installer requests attribution, reuse the supplied canonical context with null for unknown values and \[\] only for explicitly no alternatives. Keep context in JSON bodies, never URL query strings. Hosted agents without a shell should use the browser setup link. Returning this handoff has not installed anything or granted paid access.
